The Velvet Goldmine are a five- and sometimes six-piece band based in Tunbridge Wells, who play songs of many types, covering every decade from the 1960s to the 2010s, by artists ranging from David Bowie, Elton John, and the Rolling Stones to Pulp, Kaiser Chiefs, and Tears for Fears. Among other gigs, they have played twice at the Bowie Night at the Tunbridge Wells Forum, at Castlefest, at the Spa Valley Railway festival, and at Angelfest in Tonbridge.
